Terms
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Numio. They are written for Numio's live cloud-backed Canadian household budgeting product, including manual tracking, optional connected banking when offered, and AI-assisted planning features.
Effective Date
April 15, 2026
These legal pages are part of the live product surface and cover the current service as it exists today.
Acceptance and Scope
NUMIO INC. ("Numio", "we", "us", and "our") operates the Numio websites, applications, household budgeting workspace, optional connected services, and related features (collectively, the "Service"). These Terms apply when you visit our public pages, create an account, join a household workspace, or otherwise access the Service.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are the age of majority where you live and can form a binding agreement.
The Service is intended for personal, family, or household budgeting and planning use. You may not use the Service for business bookkeeping, commercial resale, or on behalf of another person unless you are authorized to do so.
Accounts and Household Workspaces
You must provide accurate information when you sign up, keep your account credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you believe your account or household workspace has been compromised.
If you create, administer, or join a household workspace, you confirm that you are authorized to share information within that workspace. Depending on the features we make available, household members may be able to view, edit, add, and rely on shared records.
- Accept invites only if they were intended for you.
- Use household invite tools instead of sharing a single login across multiple people.
- Household membership limits and collaboration features may vary by product design, rollout stage, or plan.
Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service in a way that violates law, infringes another person's rights, interferes with the Service, or attempts to bypass technical, product, or security controls.
- Accessing or scraping the Service with unauthorized automation.
- Uploading malware or other harmful code.
- Misrepresenting your identity, affiliation, or authority to act for a household.
- Using the Service to commit fraud or other unlawful conduct.
- Attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, or probe the Service except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
Financial Data and Your Responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the information you enter, upload, or choose to connect. Numio is an organizational tool and does not replace bank statements, official records, or professional review.
Budgets, balances, categories, recurring-payment detections, account summaries, and other workspace outputs depend on the information available to the Service and may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or incorrect. You should review important information before acting on it.
Connected Services and Third-Party Providers
Some features depend on third-party providers such as Clerk for authentication, Convex for application data and backend operations, Flinks for connected banking when enabled, and Vercel for hosting and analytics.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy notices, uptime commitments, and eligibility requirements. Connected banking availability may vary by rollout stage, environment, institution, plan, region, or device, and may be unavailable entirely.
AI Features and No Professional Advice
Numio may use automated systems and AI-assisted features to categorize transactions, generate summaries, highlight patterns, or suggest planning actions. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or not suitable for your specific circumstances.
The Service does not provide legal, tax, accounting, credit, insurance, or investment advice, and nothing in the Service creates a fiduciary, advisory, or professional-client relationship.
Paid Features and Pricing
We may offer optional paid features, expanded limits, automation, or connected-service access now or in the future. Any pricing, trial, renewal, or cancellation terms that apply to a paid offer will be presented when that offer is actually made available to you.
Unless and until checkout or a purchase flow is presented, references to paid tiers, premium functionality, or subscription status in the product are descriptive only and do not guarantee availability to every user.
Intellectual Property and Feedback
We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including the software, design, branding, and content we provide, excluding information that you submit to the Service. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use them without restriction or compensation, and we may do so without any obligation to you.
Suspension, Termination, and Service Changes
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, created security or legal risk, abused the Service, or used the Service fraudulently or harmfully.
We may update, add, remove, or discontinue features at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time. Any provision that by its nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions about payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.
Disclaimers

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or error-free, or that any data, bank connection, sync, categorization, suggestion, or insight will always be available, current, or correct.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NUMIO INC. and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or use, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms.
